About me
Brave Williams is the Director of the iEX Center and Extended Reality (XR) Program Coordinator at Husson University, home to New England’s first Bachelor of Science in XR. Holding an MFA in Set Design and a BA in Theatre, and working in XR since 2016, he bridges the worlds of theatre, television, and XR technology. Brave has designed sets for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, created digital scenery for productions like The Who’s Tommy, and designed scenery for The Nite Show and Greenlight Maine. As an XR thought leader, he has presented at Virtual Reality Toronto and AWE, focusing on XR in education and historical media. At Husson, he leads the "Beyond Flat" initiative, advancing XR education and preparing students for careers in virtual and augmented reality, as well as expanding the applications of spatial computing that integrate a wide variety of disciplines. This initiative emphasizes the benefits of merging physical and virtual environments to maximize the strengths of each.
